Abstract:Stability and yielding ability are the preconditions for the large-scale extension of forage crop cultivars. In order to accurately evaluate the environmental representativeness and discriminability of cultivar testsites,as well as the adaptability and high yield stability of highland barley, the data of 10 new highland barleylines from 8 national highland barley cultivar test sites (Gansu Hezuo,E1;Qinghai Xining,E2;Qinghai Huzhu,E3;Qinghai Xihai Town,E4;Tibet Lhasa,E5;Sichuan Maerkang,E6;Sichuan Daofu,E7 and Yunnan Diqing,E8) during 2011 to 2013 were analyzed. The results showed that E1 was the desirable site with favorable discriminability, and E5 was poor in discriminability and environment representation.Among 10 new lines,G9(9642),G6 (9640) and G2 (037) performed better represent ability, the stability and yielding ability of G9 andG2 (E1) was better, while G3 (xz-01) was poor.It could be concluded that GGE bioplotting method was suitablefor evaluating the representative of test sites and yield characteristics of the tested lines.
