【Objective】 To explore the effects of drought stress on physiological characteristics of leaves of differ‐ ent lupine germplasm.【Method】 Eight Lupinus polyphyllus lindl germplasm were used as experimental materials, and 30% PEG‐6000 solution was used to simulate drought stress,and the physiological indexes of eight germplasm were compared after drought stress.【Result】 The results showed that the germplasm with higher relative drought re‐ sistance had higher content of osmotic regulatory substances,lower content of MDA,lower accumulation of reactive oxygen species,and the higher activity of antioxidant enzymes than those of the relative weak drought resistance germ‐ plasm. By contrast,the germplasm with relatively weak drought resistance had the lowest content of osmotic regula‐ tory substances,the highest content of MDA,the highest accumulation of reactive oxygen species and the lowest ac‐ tivity of antioxidant enzymes.【Conclusion】 The results of the membership function method showed that the drought resistance of Lupinus polyphyllus lindl was ranked as' Iceland '> ' America B '> 'Jiangsu '> 'Germany'> ' linxia'> 'Shanxi '>' Jiuquan '>'America B'. The results of this study provide a theoretical basis for the cultivation and promo‐ tion of Lupinus polyphyllus lindl.
